Last month, the actress announced that she had filed for divorce from the tennis star after almost two years of marriage. In a statement at the time, the couple said: "Kaley Cuoco and Ryan Sweeting have mutually decided to end their marriage. They ask for privacy at this time. No further statement will be issued regarding this matter."
Cuoco is understood to have cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the couple's split. Recent media reports have since alleged that the 29-year-old decided to end their marriage after her husband became addicted to painkillers that had been prescribed to him after a back injury.
Cuoco, who is said to be worth an estimated $45m, was hit by the claim for spousal support last Thursday in response to her filing for divorce, Us Weekly has said. It is thought Cuoco had a pre-nuptial agreement drawn up before she married 28-year-old Sweeting.
The couple first announced their engagement in September 2013, after just three months of dating. They married on New Year's Eve that same year.
