Speaking to Reveal magazine, Simpson admitted: "I'm in discussions about the ring. Ricky wants it back but I want to keep it because I really love it a lot. It's mine and I don't think I should give it back.
"Ricky said it's bad luck to keep something that didn't work out, and he can't understand why I'd want to keep it. He can't see why, if I was to meet someone new, I would want to keep something he gave me. I'm guessing he'd want to sell it.
"I have worn it out once after the split," she added. "I just wore it on another finger so no-one realised."
Simpson and Rayment started dating in January of this year, having met at the National Television Awards. They announced their engagement just six months later, but last month they confirmed they had separated.
