The 52-year-old made the confession during an interview with Andy Cohen on SiriusXM radio show Radio Andy. Admitting his reservations about the yearly renewals, the singer said: "That was my ex-wife's idea, to be honest. It kind of turned into a little bit of a circus, which I wasn't terribly fond of because, by default, I'm quite a private person. That's the thing I disliked most about it."
He added: "I don't know how necessary [renewing the vows] was, but it was cool."
Seal and Klum, 42, started dating in February 2004 and tied the knot in May 2005. In January 2012, they announced they had separated after seven years of marriage; just three months later, Klum filed for divorce. The couple have three children together; sons Henry and Johan, and daughter Lou. Seal is also a father figure to Klum's daughter, Leni, from the model's former relationship to Flavio Briatore.
