The former Doctor Who star made the confession during the Christian O'Connell Breakfast Show on Absolute Radio as he helped co-host.
O'Connell was asking the actor about his "brood", when Tennant replied: "I know. Number four has arrived, yeah."
"Wow. What is it, like The Waltons round there at The Tennant household?"
To which the 44-year-old joked: "I know. It's getting a bit... It's a bit of a brood."
Tennant didn't share any further details regarding his newborn, such as the name or date of birth, but he did reveal that his wife – Georgia – had given birth to a girl.
The couple first met in 2008 when Georgia had a guest role in Doctor Who, opposite her now-husband. They married in December 2011. They have four children, including Georgia's son, Tyler, from a previous relationship.
