Michael Phelps To Become A Father

Michael Phelps has announced he and his fiancée Nicole Johnson are to become parents for the first time.

Taking to Instagram, the Olympic swimmer shared an image of the couple together alongside the caption: "We found out 8 weeks ago we were expecting... Today we're over 12 weeks and it looks like we're having a boy!!!"


Ms Johnson also posted a message on Instagram, saying: "Today marks 12 weeks and 5 days of us having a little one and yesterday we learned we're having a BOY! We couldn't be happier!!"

Phelps and Johnson, both aged 30, are understood to have started dating in 2009, but separated briefly in 2012. In February of this year, he announced the couple's engagement.
