The pair were spotted spending time together in London where they talked, cuddled and even kissed.
At one stage during their meeting however, Smith started to cry, leading Wood to comfort her. It is not clear what the couple were discussing, or if they have reunited, but they left the restaurant holding hands, leading some to speculate that they are giving their romance another try.
The reunion comes just months after the actress appeared to hit out at her ex on Twitter when she told her followers she had "been hurt by an idiot boy again...but not gonna lower myself to his standards :) love & light".
She went on to say that the message wasn't directed at Wood, but later tweeted her partner's Hollyoaks' co-star Tamara Wall, writing: "Let's give @tammiew a big shout out coz she's so honest & lovely."
At the time of the tweets, The Sun newspaper had claimed Wood and Wall were having an affair, leading to the actor's split with his wife Catherine.
