However, just days after he went into the jungle, Matthews was forced to leave after he told producers that he had taken steroids ahead of appearing on the show.
Now, Pattison – who was crowned the winner of the series on Sunday night – has revealed she got on well with the reality television star and was disappointed when he had to leave.
She told The Sun newspaper: "I did fancy him and I was disappointed he left. We did flirt on the first night, and he never came back. I thought, 'Once you've seen Jorgie, who we'd sent to Snake Rock to join him, you're not going to be interested in me.'
"But after Spencer had gone, Jorgie said, 'Spencer has just talked about you non-stop.' I thought, 'I hope he comes back.'"
