The singer made a return to music in October after four years away. It is well known that she stepped away from music in order to focus on her son Angelo, who is now three.
The 27-year-old is fiercely protective of her private life, but in a recent interview with NBC's Today host Matt Lauer, she has admitted that she's "never been happier, and [I've] never been healthier. So I'm good."
However, she also said that she was so happy after becoming a mother that she found it "impossible" to write songs for her new album.
She explained that her son had made her a more emotional person "in every single way possible", and while she did write songs about the new place she found herself in, it didn't work.
"I found it impossible for a while. I didn't know what I wanted to write about. What's wrong is I wasn't sad...
"It was boring for everyone else," she admitted.
Adele and her partner, Simon Konecki, are parents to son Angelo.
