The former Strictly Come Dancing professional revealed the news during Thursday night's episode of Celebrity Big Brother, in which she is currently a contestant.
The 36-year-old, who is in a relationship with her former Strictly partner Ben Cohen, told her fellow housemates: "There was something [that] happened in my life before I came into the house over Christmas.
"And obviously I thought it's very private news, you know, but because we are living as one family now and everybody is sort of supporting one another now, it happened to be that I found that my boyfriend and I are going to have a little one."
She was quickly congratulated by her housemates and an emotional Rihanoff added: "Thank you guys, I just didn't know how to break it, what to say, when to say, it played on my mind and I wanted everyone to hear."
She later told Hollyoaks actress Stephanie Davis that she was almost three months pregnant.
An official statement from Rihanoff's spokesperson was later released on social media, which read: "Kristina and Ben were surprised and delighted to find out that she was pregnant shortly before she entered the Big Brother house.
"She is well and looking forward to being a mum."
The dancer and Cohen first met in 2013 when they were partnered during that year's series of Strictly Come Dancing. The pair were subject to romance rumours throughout the competition, but they denied they were involved. Cohen's 10-year marriage to his wife Abby ended shortly after the show ended. Last year, Cohen and Rihanoff confirmed they were in a relationship.
While this will be the dancer's first child, Cohen is already a father to seven-year-old twin daughters, Harriette and Isabelle, from his former marriage.
