The couple tied the knot at Cardiff Castle on New Year's Eve, but the pair have kept details of their big day quiet until now.
Speaking to Hello! magazine, Jones said of the day: "It was spectacular. Everyone says it's the best day of your life and it just exceeded my expectations. I enjoyed every single second.
"I told myself not let it pass in a blur, because it really is quite overwhelming and nerve-wracking, but I really did love it, seeing all my friends' faces. And then once I held hands with Charlie, I though, 'We're right.'"
Her husband, who is an insurance broker, added: "Alex looked absolutely stunning. I couldn't stop smiling."
The couple also revealed that they both personalised their vows for their wedding, with Charlie promising his wife that he would "stand by you, whatever the future holds, to cherish and care for you and always be there for you when you need my support."
He then added: "I promise not to take too long in the shower and to be on time."
Jones meanwhile, included in her vows: "I promise to try to develop patience and to embrace the outdoors and all it has to offer, including camping."
The couple's engagement was first revealed in February last year, during an episode of The One Show, which Jones co-hosts.
