McConnell's comments are to air on the reality show tonight, just hours after Davis' boyfriend, Sam Reece, took to Twitter to allegedly dump his girlfriend, saying he would "no longer be supporting" his partner.
Reece vented on the social networking site after viewers saw Davis and McConnell flirt continuously in the CBB house, while the latter later told the show that the pair were "more than friends".
However, he now appears to have had a change of heart and in a one-to-one chat with Davis, he said: "We need to cool off all the touching, it's too much for me. I'll still be there for you, but I'm sick of it, I'm done. I'm bored of the cameras, I'm bored of it. People are watching it."
Davis admitted she is worried that her boyfriend will end their relationship having watched the show, as well as voicing her concerns as to how the public would now see her.
She said: "I don't want to wait here and be booed and then go out and have no one waiting for me either and have to pick myself back together again because I'm not strong enough."
McConnell then seems to sympathise with his housemate when she asks what he would do if he was in her position, to which he responded: "I wouldn't be doing what you're doing if I was in a relationship. I wouldn't be giving girls hugs and being in bed with them if I had a girlfriend."
Davis cut in: "I'm just like that as a person though... with your personality we just get on."
"I know, but people are watching it," he insisted. "We can have a laugh, but we can't have that much physical conversation. It's making me look like I'm coming on heavy and I'm not that type of lad.
"I do like you. I think you're a lovely and beautiful girl, but you have a fella at the end of the day. It looks like I'm being disrespectful."
However, it was Davis who had the last word, saying: "There's loads I want to say but I can't in here 'cause the cameras are on. We'll speak when we get out."
