The TOWIE star was appearing on Loose Women when she confirmed reports that she was no longer in a relationship with Stephen Mortimer.
Collins, 35, recently appeared as a contestant on Celebrity Big Brother but during her time in the house, it was alleged that her partner had cheated on her with another woman. Upon leaving the house, it is understood Collins learned about the allegations.
When asked by panellist Coleen Nolan if she was now single, the reality television star started to cry, before saying: "I came out of the house and it's just so embarrassing. Obviously the situation has happened but I'm not ready to talk about it. I can't deal with it."
When panellist Vicky Pattison suggested they change the subject, Andrea McLean said: "Sorry Gemma. We asked because there are stories out there and for you to put your side of things across."
Collins responded: "People forget I'm a normal girl. Everyone has problems with their love life. Whatever. Forget him."
