The couple, who have been together for six years, took to Instagram to share an image of themselves holding hands on Valentine's Day. The 23-year-old was wearing a ring on one of her fingers, and she captioned the snap: "So in love."
Fans of the singer were quick to speculate that the ring was an engagement ring, but Lovato was soon forced to deny reports she would be tying the knot.
She later wrote: "You are my world, my life, my best friend, my love and my purpose. I love you so much Wilmer... Y'all [fans] are crazy btw... That is my RIGHT hand and my MIDDLE finger – I am NOT engaged."
Lovato and Valderrama, 36, started dating in 2010. Earlier this month, Lovato hinted that she wouldn't mind if her partner was to propose.
