Ellie Goulding has revealed she would like to reunite with her ex-boyfriend Dougie Poynter.
The singer recently confirmed the couple had ended their two-year romance, but has not ruled out a reconciliation in the future.
Speaking to heat magazine, the 29-year-old was asked if she thinks they will be able to work through the split, to which she replied: "Maybe. I hope so. We have something I know is special and I think other people see it – my friends see it, my family see it.
"But I think some things are just kind of unfinished, an unfinished story. I hope so – he's a real gem and he's doing so well and he's keeping busy, as am I. I hope so, he's a great guy."
Goulding and Poynter, 28, started dating in 2014, but despite months of speculation, it was only confirmed by Poynter in May of that year during a documentary he was filming with boyband McBusted.
