The 40-year-old, who was married to former glamour model Katie for 11 months, slammed her recent comments about his cross-dressing altar ego Roxanne.
Katie previously admitted to the Loose Women panel that she was "frightened" when Alex dressed as a woman.
She said: "If he [Alex] does end up being a transgender then it wouldn't surprise me. It's hard for me to say why on day time TV."
Alex told Star magazine: "I was disgusted and shocked. It's never nice to hear someone put you down on national TV and, as much as she's entitled to her own opinion, I believe she should be a lot more responsible."
"I'm very honest about Roxanne, but I feel Katie has made it a negative and horrible thing, which is sad."
