Speaking on ITV's Lorraine show she said since the break-up she has become "stronger".
She said: "It's been an interesting few years, I'm obviously a single mum, divorced. I think you just get stronger don't you and you go through things and if something is not right you have to make a change.
"You have to make sure you are happy in life and make sure [it's] the right person at the right time and that’s it really."
She also said that her priority was her children.
She said: "The kids are doing really well and that’s been the main thing throughout these last few years. I mean I think anybody, and I'm not speaking as anybody different in that situation, so many go through it, if you've got children that is your responsibility."
