A source told Closer magazine: "Things have been going well with Liam and she's head over heels in love.
"But Cheryl is worried that the strain of a nasty divorce and a possible bombshell book about their marriage could bring the honeymoon period to an end.
"She can't help worrying it could ruin things between them."
Cheryl has started divorce proceedings with Jean-Bernard Fernandez Versini. The pair were married for 18 months.
