The 45-year-old mother-of-two has just finalised her divorce from her ex, three years after she started proceedings.
In an interview with Hello! magazine, she admitted: "I don't think I've ever been happier."
Despite a very public relationship – and subsequent split – though, Sykes has said it hasn't put her off dating again in the future.
"No. I love men – I think they're great. It's silly to say I'll never be in a relationship. I can laugh about it [divorce] now, too. It was painful at the time and you know when you can laugh about something and tease yourself about something, you're fine.
"And I really, really am... I don't regret anything, no. I never do, though. I don't really regret decisions I make because the decision is based on my life at the time and who I was at the time."
Sykes and Cockings hit the headlines with their relationship after the couple exchanged very flirty and personal messages via Twitter. They tied the knot in May 2013 at Sherborne Castle in Dorset. In November of that year, Sykes was arrested and cautioned by police over an assault against Cockings. Shortly afterwards, she filed for divorce.
Prior to Cockings, Sykes was married actor Daniel Caltagirone. They married in January 2001, and they had two sons together; Roman, born in 2002, and Valentino, who was born in July 2004. In July 2008, it was reported that the couple had split up. They divorced in June 2009.
