His comments come months after it was reported that Cheryl had filed for divorce from the Frenchman, citing irreconcilable differences. While his former wife has since moved on to a romance with One Direction singer Liam Payne, Jean-Bernard has now revealed that he too has moved on.
Speaking to The Mirror newspaper, the 35-year-old said: "It's been a tough year. I'm trying to move on. I'll never think badly of her [Cheryl]. She is a great girl. I'm still a married man, but there is someone else."
He did not provide any further details regarding the relationship.
Cheryl and Jean-Bernard tied the knot in a small ceremony in Mustique in the Caribbean in July 2014. They were last spotted together in public in October 2015 and speculation quickly mounted that the couple had separated. In January of this year, it was reported that Cheryl filed for divorce.
