The actor, who is also a singer, is said to have hinted at the tension with his mother-in-law during a recent concert in Manchester.
According to The Mirror, the 37-year-old took to the stage before launching into a rant against Piper's mother. He also dedicated his song, So Be Damned, to her and said he wrote the track – which is about a fighting couple – about her.
"This is a song about my soon to be ex-mother-in-law," he is quoted as saying. "I s*** you not. I've got beef with her, man."
Some of the song's lyrics include: "You say that the one sent to guide you wants you to fall. You say that you should've seen him coming after it all. And you can't cry anymore, you've never been down this road before."
Piper, 33, was granted a 'quickie' divorce from Fox earlier this month, citing unreasonable behaviour for their separation. The couple, who married in 2007, have two children together; seven-year-old Winston, and Eugene, four.
