The couple, who have a two-year-old son named Future Jr together, have been involved in a bitter legal battle.
Following their split, Ciara sued Future for $15 million for defamation, accusing him of libel and slander. Future, 30, then filed his own countersuit, but according to TMZ he has now asked the judge to dismiss the case.
It is understood the decision to withdraw his case comes after Future was granted joint custody of his son last month, and he now has concerns that if he continues to feud with his ex, she will try to "restrict his custodial rights".
Ciara, 32, is thought to be going ahead with her own lawsuit.
She is now engaged to Russell Wilson.
