Jordan was quoted this week by Allegedly podcast as saying: "[Jamie's] a good friend of mine. He is very happy with her [Katie]. I like that he seems very happy."
She has since denied that she confirmed the relationship, telling Entertainment Tonight: "I have no knowledge of Jamie with Katie at all. I've never seen them together, he's never told me he's dating her.
"A lot of times, I get asked questions about celebrities – some I know, some I don't – a lot times we just give a safe kind of generic answer.
"Sorry to not have this bombshell story, but I cannot confirm them. I don't have the knowledge of this being fact, I don't. I misspoke."
In May 2015, 37-year-old Holmes denied she was dating anyone, with a representative for the actress telling the Gossip Cop website at the time: "These stories are untrue and this gossip needs to stop. Katie is not dating anyone. She's not gushing about anyone... She was on phone with her daughter [Suri] when she supposedly was overheard saying 'I love you'."
Holmes was previously married to Tom Cruise. They have one child together, 10-year-old daughter Suri. Foxx, 48, meanwhile, has two daughters, 21-year-old Corinne and Annalise, six.
