Calvin Harris has hit out at his ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift, suggesting their break-up was not as amicable as first thought.
The couple dated for 15 months before suddenly separating in June. At the time, Harris said they would remain on good terms. However, earlier this week it was rumoured that the DJ's new single – This Is What You Came For – which features Rihanna was written by his former girlfriend.
Swift's representative later said the reports were true and that she had used a pseudonym Nils Sjoberg.
Taking to Twitter on Wednesday, 32-year-old Harris also confirmed that his ex-girlfriend was the lyricist behind the track. He tweeted: "Amazing lyric writer and she smashed it as usual."
He added that Swift, 26, even sings on the track.
He then went on to hit out at the singer and her team in a series of tweets, criticising their behaviour as well as seemingly confirming Swift's alleged fallout with fellow singer Katy Perry.
He said: "I wrote the music, produced the song, arranged it and cut the vocals though. And initially she wanted it kept secret, hence the pseudonym.
"Hurtful to me at this point that her and her team would go so far out of their way to try and make ME look bad at this stage though.
"I figure if you're happy in your new relationship you should focus on that instead of trying to tear your ex bf down for something to do.
"I know you're off tour and you need someone new to try and bury like Katy [Perry] ETC but I'm not that guy, sorry. I won't allow it.
"Please focus on the positive aspects of YOUR life because you've earned a great one."
Swift has yet to respond to the claims.
