Lydia Bright has said she is looking forward to being a single girl, following her split from childhood sweetheart James Argent.
The couple – who have dated on and off for seven years – called time on their relationship for good earlier this year. They have never given a reason for their most recent split, but in scenes aired on Sunday night as part of the new series of TOWIE, the pair had a final showdown.
During a heated argument, Bright told her former partner that she no longer wants to see him and feels it would be best if they were "strangers".
Following the episode, she then took to social media to thank her fans for their support, as well as share her excitement at being a single woman.
Appearing via Snapchat, she said: "Thank you to everyone who watched the show, thanks for your lovely tweets. I've probably been getting the biggest response I've ever had on Twitter.
"It was very much from the heart, a completely raw real episode for me. So thank you to everyone for supporting my decisions and understanding. Now onwards and upwards. No more crying for the rest of the series and I'm looking forward to having so much fun now as a single girl."
After the episode aired, Argent also took to Twitter to assure his fans that he would be okay.
He wrote: "I've never known my phone or social media to go this crazy, all I can say is thank you everyone! I'm going to be A OK x (sic)."
