The couple briefly dated in 2009, but speaking to Entertainment Tonight with his 'Scream Queens' co-stars Lea Michele and John Stamos as part of a Facebook Live interview, the actor admitted that it was a "good time".
He said: "It was a good time. It was a fun few months there."
The 24-year-old was also asked by Michele if one of Swift's songs was about the couple's former romance.
She said: "You dated Taylor Swift. I remember that. Should we talk about it? Didn't she write a song about you?"
Lautner answered: "That's what she does. She writes songs."
Stamos then asked which song it was, with Michele adding: "I think it was on the one about a sweater and a hat."
As the conversation continued, a visibly uncomfortable Lautner tried to change the subject, simply saying: "That's hilarious."
