His comments come after reports that Heard was accused of cheating on her husband Johnny Depp, with the actor. Heard and Depp are currently undergoing divorce proceedings.
On Monday, photographs – allegedly taken by Heard last year – emerged in which Depp is said to have cut the tip off his finger after angrily accusing his partner of being unfaithful. The actor is then said to have dipped the injured finger into some blue paint and wrote a message on a wall which read, 'STARRING', 'Billy Bob' and 'Easy Amber'.
Thornton and Heard star alongside each other in upcoming movie London Fields, but Thornton has said that he did not socialise with the 30-year-old actress off-set, other than at a cast dinner. Neither, did he speak to Depp.
Heard and Depp, 53, first met on the set of movie The Rum Diary and started dating in 2012. They married in a private civil ceremony in Los Angeles in February 2015. In May 2016, Heard filed for divorce.
