Katona, who already has five children, is believed to have spoken to Kay about trying for another baby after she finishers her tour in Australia in February.
A source revealed to Closer Magazine: "George is desperate for another baby and would really like a boy. Kerry would also love to have more children and is keen to do anything to please George.
"Her friends don't think Kerry is thinking straight and have suggested she and George have some quality time to get their relationship back on track.
"They've told Kerry it's going to take more than a new baby to fix their issues, but she's just dismissing their fears and insisting it will help them bond and only make them stronger."
