Louise Redknapp Rejects Strictly Curse

Louise Redknapp has said she is not worried about the so-called curse of Strictly Come Dancing.

It has been said that the BBC talent show has been 'cursed' in recent years due to the number of relationship breakdowns which have happened while celebrities either take part in the show, or shortly after the show has ended.

For example, professional dancer Pasha Kovalev met Countdown star Rachel Riley on the show in 2013, when she was still with her husband. Riley subsequently announced the end of her marriage and started a relationship with Kovalev.

Ben Cohen, who was paired with dancer Kristina Rihanoff, split from his wife and childhood sweetheart after the show ended. He later confirmed his relationship with Rihanoff.

Last year, actress Georgia May Foote dumped her boyfriend Sean Ward and shortly afterwards started dating her Strictly dance partner Giovanni Pernice.

However, Redknapp has said that she is not concerned about the so-called curse.

She is quoted by the Daily Mirror was saying: "The 'curse' of Strictly doesn't worry me. I've been married for 19 years to my best friend. Jamie's my world, so it doesn't bother me at all."

Louise and former footballer Jamie Redknapp married in 1998. They have two sons together; Charles, 12, and seven-year-old Beau.
