Tina Barrett has revealed that she had to deliver her son, Roman, by C-section.
The former S Club 7 singer welcomed her first child with partner Paul Cashmore in June, but in a recent interview with OK! magazine, the 40-year-old has now shared some details of the delivery.
Speaking to the publication, she admitted that she had wanted to deliver her son naturally, but after 12 hours in labour, was forced to deliver him by C-section instead.
She explained: "I felt quite disappointed because I wanted to do it [delivery] all naturally. It turned out that Roman was struggling to get out because he was quite big."
However, the singer added that her disappointment vanished as soon as she saw her son, who weighed in at 8lb 12oz.
"I remember thinking that he looked so perfect. I cried. It was a really emotional moment, it really hit me that I was a mum."
Barrett, 40, and her partner met in 2012. Roman is their first child together.
