Jodie Marsh has revealed that she has been arrested and accused of harassing her estranged husband James Placido.
On Tuesday, the former glamour model took to Instagram to reveal the news. Alongside an image of herself, the 37-year-old wrote: "You always thought I was a bad girl cos I'm covered in tattoos and ride Harleys. Now I'm the ULTIMATE bad girl, having been arrested and charged... see my twitter for details (sic)."
Marsh's Twitter account then highlighted a note which read: "To sum up; I have been arrested and charged with 'harassment'", before telling her followers to read a message from her new management KTS Talent for more details.
A spokesperson for the organisation said: "The allegations of harassment against Jodie Marsh are due to her texting her husband asking about thousands of pounds he owes to her father...
"Jodie strenuously denies these allegations and we think that they are utterly ridiculous.... Jodie's father has started his own proceedings to try to reclaim the money he is owed by Jodie's ex."
Clarifying the statement made yesterday, a spokesperson for Marsh has now said: "Jodie removed James Placido from her house back in April 2016. Since his removal Jodie has discovered a number of unsavoury things about him including that he had taken thousands of pounds from her father.
"Jodie was arrested 4 months ago and charged last night with the offence of harassment for texts she sent to Mr Placido asking for her father's money back.
"Jodie completely denies the charges of harassment and looks forward to going to court, not only to prove her innocence but so that the full truth about Mr Placido can finally come out.
"We have no further comment at the moment, other than Jodie has some very exciting projects coming up and she is forever grateful to her loyal fans for all their support at this time."
Marsh and Placido tied the knot in August 2015, but just eight months later in April 2016, the former announced that they had separated.
