The speculation was sparked after Simpson was found to have deleted every trace of her partner from her social media accounts. Days later, she stated that the pair had argued, but they had not separated. However, she has now revealed that they did split up.
In an interview with OK! magazine, the Geordie Shore star admitted: "I broke up with Lewis and we spent a few days apart.
"It felt like our relationship peaked in the [Celebrity Big brother] house, so it had a lot to live up to once we were out. When it didn't live up to those expectations, I crumbled a bit."
In the same interview, Lewis said that he was also to blame for their split due to his behaviour. He said: "It was a big wake up call for me. I realised that if I didn't give her 100%, I would lose her forever. I didn't want that."
