Ashton Kutcher has said that he had picked out a name for his unborn son – only for his wife Mila Kunis to rule out his suggestion.
Kutcher, 38, was appearing on late night talk show 'Conan' when he made the revelation.
He told the host that while the couple have chosen a name for their child, he had initially wanted to call the boy after Benjamin 'Hawkeye' Pierce – a character from 1970s television show M*A*S*H*.
"There was a rallying cry from a collective that believed in the name Hawkeye," the actor said. "A kid named Hawkeye. It could be M*A*S*H*-y, like he could be a doctor."
However, he added: "Hawkeye Kutcher, it didn't fly, it didn't cross the Mila threshold, it came to the threshold but it got knocked out."
Kutcher and Kunis, 33, are already parents to two-year-old daughter Wyatt.
