'Married At First Sight' Couple Separate

It has been revealed that a couple who tied the knot on television show Married At First Sight last year, have separated.

Caroline and Adam met for the first time on the Channel 4 show just moments before they were to marry. The pair hit it off and out of all of the couples matched on the series, they were the only ones to stay together and try to make their marriage work.

However, Caroline has now revealed that the couple have since split. In a photograph recently shared to Instagram, Caroline celebrated the New Year with a number of friends, but her husband is not in the photo.

She wrote alongside the image: "It's safe to say 2016 hasn't been what I expected. I took a leap of faith and married a stranger on national TV.

"But instead of living happily ever after with a scientifically matched husband I found something even more amazing; these cool kids.

"Every day these beautiful souls buoy me up and give me something to smile about. It's been a mad year, but I can't think of anyone better to party into 2017 with."

When a fan then asked if the couple had separated, she replied: "Yes we did."

It is not clear when the pair decided to call time on their union, but just eight weeks ago they appeared to enjoy a second honeymoon in Morocco.
