Jeremy McConnell has hit out at his ex-girlfriend Stephanie Davis, alleging that she is "living off" her newborn son.
McConnell, 26, and Davis met on Celebrity Big Brother last year. They grew close while appearing on the show and once the series ended, they continued their relationship. However, it was a short and turbulent romance for the pair, who dated on-and-off for a few months before ending things for good in April 2016. Shortly after their split, Davis announced that she was pregnant with the couple's first child, but this was a claim denied by McConnell. Both parties then demanded a paternity test, but according to McConnell this is still to take place – despite his ex's insistence that she also wants to prove who the father of her son is.
Commenting on the situation, the model told The Sun Online: "I do believe I am the father. I want the baby to be mine, I can see a resemblance."
He added that he wanted "reassurance", claiming that there was infidelity on both sides of the relationship. McConnell also criticised his ex over her "horrible" treatment of her baby son, Caben-Albi, saying that he believes Davis is using magazine deals and freebies, as well as influencing public opinion to portray herself as a powerful, single mother.
"She's parading him around like he was the FA Cup. Stephanie is living off me and the baby, simple," he said.
