A source is quoted by People magazine as saying: "They have amicably ended their relationship of three years. They remain close friends and wish nothing but the best for each other moving forward."
The couple started dating towards the end of 2014, but their romance has attracted interest from the media after it was revealed that the family of Rodgers – who plays for the Green Bay Packers – did not approve of Ms Munn.
Reports at the time claimed that the sporting star's family "didn't trust" the actress, and believed that she was not dating him for the right reasons.
Rodgers, 33, and 36-year-old Munn never publicly commented on the claims, but it is understood the fallout deepened after Rodgers chose his girlfriend over his family.
