The 41-year-old announced she and Sampson were to divorce in August 2014 after 14 years together.
Speaking to The Sun's Fabulous magazine, she said of the split: "It has been a very difficult few years but I'm able to look forward now. When you go through trauma in life – in whatever way – you have to bounce back, especially as a parent. I feel really good right now."
Gallacher, who is a presenter for Sky Sports, has two children – 10-year-old Oscar and seven-year-old Jude – with her ex-husband.
She continued: "You have to get up and go to work, and you worry about how they're doing at school while you're trying to do live TV. But you do learn, you develop and you do get stronger. You have to learn from your mistakes."

Kirsty Gallacher has opened up about her divorce to rugby player Paul Sampson, admitting that it has been a "difficult few years".The 41-year-old announced she and Sampson were to divorce in August 2014 after 14 years together.
