The couple – who have since reunited – took a dating break for six months but during this time, Clark was romantically linked with Little Mix singer Jesy Nelson. Their relationship did not last that long, but speaking about the situation, Dowding has now said that she wasn't worried about her then-ex moving on so quickly.
Speaking to new! magazine, the 23-year-old said: "Seeing an ex with someone new is always hard. You think to yourself, 'Oh God, they've moved on!'
"It was all over social media too, but I just didn't look at it. It wasn't something I lost sleep over.
"We've been with other people and we've grown up a bit. I think our break was the best thing that ever happened. It's done us wonders and we're happier than ever."
She then went on to say that she would not compare herself to Jesy as they pair are "completely different".
"We are completely different," she said. "Our styles and our looks are so different. How can you compare?"
