The initiative – #15babiesaday – takes place throughout the month of June. For the campaign, midwives are being asked to highlight the sad fact that 15 babies die every day in the UK before, during, or shortly after birth.
Midwives are asked to promote the campaign on social media – Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter – by using the hashtag #15babiesaday. There is also a #15babiesaday web page with 15 case studies, including the stories of mothers, fathers, grandparents, midwives and consultants who have all been personally affected by baby death.
On 15 June, Sands will be running events in the UK.
