Speaking to the publication, the 24-year-old said: "We'd love to start a family; winning is incredible but family always comes first."
Whitlock and Hickton, also 24, first met when they were 12 years old, but did not start dating until a few years later. They have been together for almost 10 years, and shortly before the Games in Rio 2016, Whitlock proposed to his partner.
