Lauren was asked to leave a restaurant in Essex recently as Mark was due to enter it with his pals.
A source told Closer: "Michelle's devastated by Lauren's claims and feels she's been betrayed, however Mark insisted Lauren was bitter and out for revenge after the Sheesh incident," a source told Closer.
"Mark was frantically calling Michelle when Lauren's story came out and even sent a text to one of the producers he knows in South Africa.
"She was furious, it took her a few hours to call him back. He reassured Michelle the claims were nonsense, but she told him she couldn't help but feel humilated."
However, Michelle who is currently working in South Africa is believed to be ignoring the comments.
A source told the Mirror Online: "Michelle is concentrating on filming Our Girl and isn't concerning herself with any of the 'drama' supposedly going on back home."
