The model, 27, is said to be romancing a make-up artist called Mandi Floor.
Ms Floor's social media accounts host a number of photographs of the pair cosying up together on nights out, fuelling speculation that they are a couple.
However, it has been claimed that McConnell's ex-girlfriend – Stephanie Davis – is furious at the news.
A source is quoted by The Sun as saying: "Steph hit the roof when she saw the pictures of Mandi and Jeremy together. They've known each other for years and although they have hooked up in the past, it was nothing serious.
"Steph asked Jeremy to cut all contact with her when they were together. Jeremy did it for an easy life, but now he's single again, he's met up with Mandi and is letting his hair down.
"Steph thinks it's a dig at her and has taken it really personally. She thinks Jeremy is trying to wind her up."
Davis, 24, and McConnell had a turbulent relationship for a number of months in 2016. They have one child together, a son called Caben-Albi.
