Reality television star Collins was a contestant on the 2014 series of ITV show 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!', but left the show after just three days.
In an interview with The Sun Online, the 36-year-old has now said that the reason she left the show was because the night before she flew to Australia to appear on the show, she was attacked by an ex-boyfriend.
She is quoted as saying: "I was severely beaten up by my partner the night before I went into the jungle. I'm lucky to be alive. He beat me to within an inch of my life.
"When I went in there I was really badly beaten from my neck down. ITV didn't want me doing it but because they'd given me such a huge opportunity, how could I not do it?"
She added: "I couldn't speak about it before because I wasn't over it. But I am now and I want people to know."
Her ex has denied the allegations.
