According to reports, the couple are said to have gone their separate ways in May of this year, just months before photographs emerged of the actor kissing his Fargo co-star Mary Elizabeth Winstead.
In images obtained by The Sun, the 46-year-old actor appears to be seen kissing his co-star. The couple were said to have been close during a meeting at The Good Life Eatery in London's St. John's Wood.
Sources said that the pair seemed "relaxed in each other's company".
They added: "Ewan and Mary Elizabeth were there together and seemed relaxed in each other's company. The cafe was really busy with people coming in and out the whole time.
"They were deep in conversation and were there together for more than an hour. As they left he got on to the back of Ewan's motorbike and they sped off together."
McGregor and Mavrakis, 51, married in 1995 and have four children together. Winstead, meanwhile, announced four months ago that her seven-year marriage to husband Riley Stearns had come to an end.
