The 30-year-old, who rose to fame on The X Factor last year, has said that she was contacted by her half-brother Mikael after he watched her on the talent show and discovered that they looked alike.
In an interview with The Sun, the 30-year-old said that the siblings did not know about each other and even lived in the same town in Finland for a while. She commented: "His smile and his eyes are just like mine – it feels so weird. He is a guitarist.
"My dad plays the guitar and my brother plays the guitar and now my new brother plays the guitar. He is studying to be an English teacher and his second language is Japanese, which is really weird because I love and speak Japanese."
It is understood Saara's father confirmed that he had a one-night stand before he met Saara's mother. A DNA test was taken to prove Mikael and Saara were related.
