The actress was appearing to discuss her latest movie Tomb Raider when the host – Kate Garraway – grilled the 29-year-old about her relationship.
When asked about her marriage, Vikander responded: "Well, I've had the most happy year."
Kate replied: "It suits you, being married", to which Alicia said: "I carry a smile on my face most of the time."
When the host then said that Alicia's husband was just as private, she agreed, saying: "It's a lovely thing to choose to be private, even though you've got this career."
Alicia and Michael are notoriously private regarding their relationship.
They first met on the set of the movie The Light Between Oceans, which was filmed in 2014, but did not make their debut together on a red carpet until the 2016 Golden Globe Awards. The couple tied the knot in Ibiza last year.
