The reality star split with Scott, with whom she has children Mason, Penelope and Reign, in 2015 after almost 10 years of dating.
Although the father-of-three has been romancing Sofia for over a year, the two women were only introduced last week when they shared a meal together.
A source told E! News: "Scott, Sofia and Kourtney had dinner together at Nobu and it was very amicable.
"They have kept things separate for over a year now, but Kourtney is more open and willing to have a surface level relationship with Sofia."
The dinner comes just a month after it was claimed the parents are trying to do more things as a "family unit" for the sake of their children.
