The singer kicked off her 'Sweetener' tour in New York this week, and is determined to shift the focus back to her music after a lot of attention surrounding her personal life over the past year.
An insider told E! News: "She is committed to having only positivity in her life... With all of the focus on her personal life, Ariana has felt additional motivation to put on the best show possible to remind her critics and fans of her strengths as an artist and performer."
The star split from fiancé Pete Davidson in October last year, just weeks after the tragic death of her ex Mac Miller in September, and the source added that she was keen to make the concert "something special" as a thank-you to her fans.
