Eva Longoria Was Destined To Be An Older Mother

Mother-of-one Eva Longoria has spoken of her belief that she was destined to become a mother later in her life.

The 44-year-old actress has son Santiago, 13 months, with her husband José 'Pepe' Baston, and has no regrets about waiting until she was in her 40s to start a family, after years of pursuing her hectic career.

Speaking to 'Parents Latina' magazine, the actress said: "He was meant to be with me at this stage in my life. I'm more patient, and I don't work as much - even though it doesn't seem that way!"

She may be taking on less work commitments these days, but Eva did take Santiago to her film set for 'Dora and the Lost City of Gold' as she navigated the struggle of breastfeeding on the job.

She explained: "Breastfeeding while working was hard, just for the timing of the pumping and the feedings and the sleeping and the not sleeping. You do it and get it done."

Now that the tot is over a year old, the couple are enjoying experimenting with his food. "We let him eat off our plate," Eva said. "And we're exposing his palette to different flavours. His diet is definitely plant-based right now."
