The happy couple are eagerly awaiting the arrival of their first child together, but the 'Twilight' actor says Brittany wasn't initially keen on dating him.
Kellan told the New York Post: "She said in her email, 'I'm not dating guys right now. I don't want to date unless it's my husband.' She's a Christian, I'm a Christian. I have respect for that. I never really dated anyone who believes the same thing as me. And I realise that's where you should start."
The couple are set to welcome a baby girl in May.
