The actress says she won't be offering any tips to her former 'Dawson's Creek' co-stars Michelle Williams and Joshua Jackson, both of whom are set to become parents this year.
Busy shares two daughters, Birdie and Cricket, with her husband Marc Silverstein and says keeping your thoughts on parenting to yourself is a rule to live by.
"I make it a point to never give anyone advice about babies or kids just because everyone's experience is so unique," she told Us Weekly.
"Every baby is different and it's just not the kind of thing - you can prepare all you want and get all the stuff and it still doesn't help."
To some extent, the actress says new parents are best left to their own devices to navigate life with a new baby.
"The only thing that a new parent needs to know is that they will figure it out. Because everyone does."
